Camaro Convertibles...18k more than a hardtop ?

I personally have no interest in the Camaro Convert as I like the hardtop sports cars. I was reading some information on it and they are saying 18k more than any model ??

That would make the 2SS Base $53,000 !!!! I would assume some dealers are doing the "Over Sticker" hype

I don't think so!! No way it would be that much more. Pricing wouldn't be that far off the Mustang convertible for a six cylinder and the the SS vs. the GT convertible.

That would be a huge number over the coupe. The corvette is slightly less than 5k difference from coupe to convertible. There will also be the same waiting list, price gouging like we have experienced with the coupe.

I for one can wait awhile on the vert and if it is 18k more - they can keep it!

Agreed. There hasn't even been any word on pricing for the Synergy Green, and those will be here before the convertible.

Just in looking they are a company that will convert your hardtop to a convert...no way would I ever think of doing that.

I thought it was the 2011 Camaro Pricing..

He is correct.

and you'll find a few companies already do this. they chop the roof and add a custom ragtop. It's not a GM modified car. It's a third party company creating their own verts from hardtop models.

Read the first sentence in the article again:

Rather than wait around for the official Chevy Camaro Convertible, Drop Top Customs is bringing their own version to SEMA.
You can NOT order the convertible from Chevy yet, so there is no pricing, but $5K is a safe bet.

I didn't read it real clear.....5k for a convert is realistic.....but one thing for sure, I am not a convertible person at this point...but they will sell
