Some advantages and disadvantages with that kit. But AGP is high quality for sure. Most people want to display the hardware, but to me stealth is cooler. And underhood temps must be higher with the top kit and the extra weight is higher. Most people look under my hood and think my car is stock. I could make some $$ with it. LOL

If you go AGP you might want to consider piping the wategate dumps into the exhaust. And there is a way to get those air filters higher up into the fender wells. Something to think about. Also I went with the AEM pump controller and stuck with the 1LE stock ZL1 pump. Serveral sources confirmed this is a good plan, unless 1,000+ rwhp is in the plan. I have the same injectors as you are planning. Good choice.

So I see you are going big on the HP side. To save stress on the LS3 I kept my RWHP to 615 with a mild tune @10 pounds. With the Meth and the cam what are your HP goals? You can easily get to 700 RWHP without the cam. But I also hear a boost friendly cam is nice to have.

There are better boost controllers but they won't fit in the pod. I have mine velcroed to the top of my steering wheel. It sounds hokey, but it looks and works great.

Make sure your exhaust/turbo combo will spool as fast as possible unleass you are going really big on HP. But if you do that your LS3 will need some beefing up to live.

Oh, and plan on a diff upgrade. I went ZL1, the cheapest option, but not the lightest. And don't forget a twin disc clutch or more. You will need that too. I took my stock clutch down to the rivets in 10K miles. LOL.

Don't forget the outer TA bushings, they are a seperate part. I went with adjustable Toe Rods. Good if you plan to lower your 1LE.

If you have any questions shoot me a PM.

My winter upgrade plans:
  • CTS/V front brakes
  • Goodridge brake lines
  • Front tow hook - aready have been towed off a track. :(
  • Heritage grill

If I have more time and extra resources:
  • IOM interior panels to brighten up the drab 1LE interior
  • IOM cloth seat inserts
  • Front brake ducts - Not sure this will be possible
  • Engine coil pack covers

Will do! One of the guys here at work is going to help me out with it since his family owns a trim shop and with my sewing skills I once made a sad excuse for a pillow case.

What are the disadvantages? LS3 is good to 900 at the wheels. My goals are about 750.

i think he was referring to the Hellion kit disadvantages, with their new top mount system. idk how they plan on marketing that as a DIY...i love the look of it, really, but no way i'd want to install it myself like i'm planning with the AGP (which Matt told me is arriving thursday, btw).
things that immediately come to mind with the Hellion there are the fuse box relocation portion and ease of access to the engine around hot turbos, and of course increased underhood temps.

Do I have stuff to do to it? Yes... Am I going to work on it... who knows lmao!

Install my remote clutch res, 1.25" drop springs, get gauge pack cluster painted/hydrodipped and installed, some other little things here and there. Next year will be a cam in spring or a supercharger over the summer, not sure which yet... :(

Those are the mods I did last winter, since I had the car apart I also did the front brake ducts. If you do any serious track days, I would put the ducts in now.

I was debating the same thing and I decided to stay NA because I will be tracking the car and didn't want the added weight and heat build up

Planning to do a good wheel well and under body clean up as well

All 3 sleeping peacefully at the moment though. Mods start in January.

Also have to fix a leaky header on my 69 Z28.
Worked on it a little this weekend...
Under hood LED's- done
JPD clutch reservoir- done
Big Daddy Rt angle O2 sensor extenders just came, can now put cats on.
Vitesse showed up today.
Bo's TB being ordered this week.
69 Z28 on the lift so I can start fixing header

Probably get a lot done over Xmas break!

See a lot of you lowering them. I would love to lower mine! But man, roads are so bad in MI I already bottom out! Would beat the hell out of the underside of the car if I lower it! May do Coil Overs next winter so I can lower or raise it when I want.

Anyone put coil overs on yet?

Going to be adding a body colored grill and oil cooler to the list... Possibly brake ducts too

Add headers to my list. Just bought a used set of ARH Shorties to go with my Solo HF cats. Going to wrap them in black header wrap I think. Keep the under hood heat down. With Vitesse, Headers, HF Cats, and Bo's TB...this thing should come out of the shop in April as a whole new beast!
