Question about "new" Vararam Screen

I stumbled across in another thread something about the Vararam now having a screen which should take care of the bucking/surging issues.

Is it made out of the same "honeycomb" material that used to be put in older style MAF's?

Any pictures?

Originally the Vararam was appealing to me, but after reading of the bucking & surging issues I decided against it as I didn't want to mess with a tune. Now that they have a screen to smooth the air out a bit before it gets to the MAF, I may have to reconsider.

I was sent the new Vararam.

New honeycomb screen...different set up. Larger scoop. Flat filter instead of cone. New MAF as well.

Thing runs like a charm. And...my last 3 bucked like a bucking f'ing bronco. And, the radiator is actually more firm in place than before. Not sure why...probably my installation. But...

Yes. I approve. It actually works this time.

In fact, I need to start a new thread on it. I have about 400 miles on it. No bucking. I'm freaking floored...lol

The units are available in Tune and NO tune combinations.

NO Tune units - are configured for 430 rear wheel HP ( Dynojet) Does not matter whether its automatic or manual trans. ( 500hp+ at the crank)
( upgrading to a tune model is as simple as swaping out the tail section of the box)

Tune models- are for 430-650 rear wheel hp 400+cu/inch etc...

This will also be on our website in greater detail. The website will be updated with all the new info and units will be available to purchase this weekend!!!

The Super Street was configured for high volume production and we are in full production now on "NO Tune" models and will be ready to ship next week!

If somone has the older unit and there is an issue simply give us a call at 866-507-2648 or 713-899-6456.
Regards
