Chevy Camaro will die by 2023! With no 7th generation successor!

It’s only speculation right now. Plus they did this before and brought us the amazing 5th Gen after it’s departure. Let’s wait until the official announcement from GM.

Until then, hang on to your 5th gens and enjoy what you got!!!

Thanks for sharing Shan

Glad I own a car that was still kicking Mustang's ass in sales back then...Sort of glad I didn't trade up into a car being beat by Dodge and Ford, hell is the Kia Stinger out selling the Gen 6 too?

When GM did this the last time, wasn't it because their contract with the UAW at the factory in Canada was ending? Instead of looking for a new factory and contract to build them and do another refresh update, it was more "cost effective" for them to discontinue the whole nameplate for awhile. Slow sales had something to do with it as well obviously.

If a 7th gen comes out eventually it will be an EV, if I had to guess. However, if that is the case I hope they let Camaro die as an internal combustion engine vehicle. It will be sad to see Camaro die, but more sad seeing an electric Camaro, again IMO.

I don't understand the reason that sales leadership would be a determining factor in selecting a vehicle. Appearance, interior and performance make sense, but not sales leadership. When making a purchase decision, I couldn't care less which vehicle sells the most.

This story isn't as dramatic but seems more realistic.

Popularity of a model will have some effect on resale value. Some folks factor in what friends/coworkers will think about what they drive, nothing wrong with using sales figures to help determine your selection. For me though, I drive what I like, rest of the world can drive what they want.

Yeah, if I went into a purchase already planning on getting rid of it, I may not purchase what I truly want or may not truly enjoy the experience of owning it.

i was not planning on trading in that soon anyway, especially for a smaller, more expensive vehicle.
