Anywhere you trust that specializes in work like that. Local tuner/shop etc. The instructions they provide are amazing and so simple. If a shop messes up. Burn the place to the ground

I'm currently using a solo Ultra High Flow Converter ,with stock exhaust for my LFX Camaro. http://solo-performance.com/camaro-v...tic-converters

Will it also have melting problems with IPF superchagered?

+1, Sycraft is right, even Solo's won't hold up to the IPF S/C.

The other option to gutting is returning to stock cats which seem to hold up just fine.

It's a shame- loved my Solo HiFlo's.

IPF Supercharger FAQ

Did the same, took off the solo hi flows and went back to stock cats due to Massachusetts emissions. I'm going back to buffalo this month. Solo guys think they may have a solution.

Please pass the word around we are going to be building one last production run of Supercharger kits if there is enough interest, due to slow sales of the supercharger and lack of interest we are turning our efforts to our software side of the business and we will be discontinuing this product. The termination jumper isn't a wire, its a small black plastic piece with metal contacts in the side, very small. You place it on the last box in a daisy chain if you have more than one so the sensors can talk to each other.
My bad I don't know why I said termination wire. I'm talking about the skinny gray wire that comes with the sensor modules. Couldn't find anything in the instructions about it.

Also, how did you power the gauges? I tried tapping into one of the ignition fuses on the side of the steering wheel, and the gauges light up for a second then turn off.

Been gone a long time, but I still have my car. I only drive about three miles a day anymore due to a career change and the last time I changed my oil it was for time, not mileage!

Anyway, somebody asked about me driving my car home a long way by simply bypassing the supercharger with the stock belt. Yes I did (LFX), and it ran quite well, thank you. I had about a 1 mpg hit on all-highway driving, but zero issues with how the car ran.

As to some of the other issues mentioned in this thread, the last time I was on Camaro 5, there wasn't even a mention of a better catch can set-up, so I'd never even heard of Mighty Mouse. I still run the IPF set-up and all I ever get out of it is thin gas-like fluid that I assume is vapor-contaminated condensation. Also, my car does not like it when I decelerate from a higher RPM by holding a gear and coasting down (M6), which I understand is directly related to the catch can/PCV set-up, so I know I can now eliminate the issue easily.

I bought, but never installed, a rain sock for the air filter. It can really mess up the running characteristics while driving in heavy rains without one, let me tell you. Fortunately that does not often happen in Phoenix.

I'm still absolutely thrilled with this installation. I have always been underwhelmed by the attention paid to the system by KPE, the very local distributor. Understood, they follow the money, but it seems like follow-through has always been an issue. The last time I had contact with Andy, he said they were going to redo the installation instructions so they pertained to the LFX installation, which has a few differences, and they would be interested in borrowing my car to use in photos in exchange for something like a new belt/supercharger oil change or something. I readily agreed to this but never heard anything back one way or the other. No biggie, like I said, I understand following the market (money) and all, and all things considered, everything has been handled adequately when I needed something, which is rarely.

That brings me back to the uprated idler pulleys. I was one of the first, and hopefully few, to experience a seized idler pulley while in the middle of freaking nowhere between Las Vegas and Phoenix. I immediately had to shut down, the oil life meter went to zero life remaining because the coolant temperature spiked before I coasted to a stop on the shoulder, and the belt was a tangled mess of melted rubber, caught in the pulleys. As mentioned paragraphs above, I made it home fine, but only after hours of delay. Once back home, I went to Tempe and personally picked up the new and improved pulleys, which I installed myself and have been running without issue since (nearly 2 years). Due to a very thorough effort on the part of IPF, I also received an additional set of pulleys in the mail, since they took action to send everybody they had sold a kit to a set with instructions to replace theirs. Mine ride in the glove box. The stock belt I bought to get me home that one day rides back in the trunk.

I have mixed feelings about this kit going away. On one hand, it's too bad more people won't be able to experience it. On the other, fewer Camaros will be able to challenge mine. I feel like I put together a simple car with just enough to maximize the package. It's a stick shift; the wheels are each 9.5 lbs lighter than the steelies that came with it; and the stock tires stick well but break loose even after the clutch is engaged at any RPM over about 2K in 1st gear. My technique is to get the clutch out before stomping the throttle, and it's really stinking quick. If you feel like laying scratch, it'll put down semi-permanent marks in your favorite roadway with little effort and a lot of smoke. At 29,000 miles, I still have the stock tires, stock clutch and the limited slip rear end works just fine. Freeway on-ramps are a great demonstration area for showing passengers what 1st-2nd-3rd can do. And if you have somewhere in your area, some kind of drive that has mixed radius corners with mixed-length straights in between, preferably heading uphill so you can appreciate the heavy duty pull (Salt River Canyon, east of Phoenix, AZ is Nirvana for this), you'll not know many better driving experiences.

It's been a fun car, the most fun car I've ever owned. Too bad I am going to sell it here before too long. But that's for another thread. $15K, anyone?
