I would put the car on a trailor and ship it to a tuner before swapping ECUs.
Or mail order tune it.

What he said, no way I would ditch an E38 for anything, it is faster with more capabilities than almost any preceding ECM available from GM, the E67 for supercharged applications being the exception.
If it was me, I would get HPtuners and a good wideband, and get a remote tune. Someone who has a lot of experience with supercharged Camaros is Andy @ ADM performance, I would contact him or possibly another vendor on here. If you would like to learn how to tune yourself with HPtuners, I received direct, one-on-one lessons through an associate of mine. PM if you would like those details. |

Thanks to all who posted, the direction I have decided to go is to keep the E38 and learn to tune through someone who was recommended to me from a member.
