Been waiting all year,im looking to get to 650 700hp, 1st am i going to have to worry about blowing main seals and crankcase under boost if im at 8 to 10psi?,it looks like some people are having trouble at 12 and over. 2nd which sc is going to give the loudest whine?Right now love my sound going,sw lt no cats sw retro cat back z28 cai,now id like to be heard coming, like a crazy loud whine. Most sc ive looked at are saying how quiet they are.Is a cog drive the way to go to get loud?

You will be fine at 10lbs and below on 93 octane with the proper tune. You will need supporting mods to get to 650rwhp (cam, headers, springs etc)
For whine, from what I can tell is go with the 2300 Maggie and convert the back belt of the jackshaft to a cog set up....

Won't have a single issue with a proper PCV venting solution like a MMS can. Can run 6 or 60psi without worrying about seals.

Cogs are definitely louder than a regular belt. Here's a video of my car when it had a cog driven Ysi, headers, cam, etc. I don't have any videos of it under power but many of my co-workers told me they heard me coming before they saw me.
I second the MMS can. |

If you want the whine, either a cog drive (loudest) or Whipple (not quite as loud, but louder than almost all the rest). I prefer the jackshaft Maggies for this reason specifically, OD rear cogs with a larger front pulley, I like the whine.
I run a MMS can as well to keep my seals in place. |
