GM slip reveals Z06 to have 620 hp and 650 lb ft torque.

http://blogs.gmhightechperformance.c...-corvette-z06/

And yes, I am disappointed the Z06 is blown instead of N/A.

I don't understand why they went F/I for the Z06. A 160 horsepower gap is massive and the price gap will be too.

I wish it was NA too but just like the Z/28 I can't afford it either. I'm sure it's awesome and there won't be any heat soak issues or anything like that. Can't wait to see it.

LS7 is dead. The LS series is dead. I was hoping for a 7.0 liter LT motor.

ZR1 probably will end up with a twin turbo small block.

I'm shocked it's supercharged and not turbocharged.

IMO, The turbo is a better match for tracking. Also for mpg as it's only on when needed.

So 40 more horses than a ZL1 and a 1000 lbs lighter. This should be good.

I don't think it will be as light as the last Z06. The Stingray already has an aluminum frame so add in the supercharger and associated drivetrain reenforcments and I bet it weighs more than a Stingray.

Well the ZR1 was heavier and not a slouch.

Based on the C7 being close to the previous Z06 I would suggest this is far more car than the C6 Z06 and knocking on the door of the old ZR1. Now if the could find a way to get the weight equal to the C6 Z06. O M G
