Mustang and Challenger to Nationwide Series next season
And Chevrolet isn't bringing the Camaro. They will continue to run the Impala

They'd have to completely mutilate the Camaro's gorgeous body to turn it into a NASCAR racer. Every NASCAR vehicle looks alike and doing that to a Camaro is just wrong.

I would LOVE
for the Camaro to RACE in NASCAR, not just be the Pace Car.......although, it does look AMAZING leading the field during the pace laps and caution laps................. .Maybe someday it will be  ..........we can only hope...............

Sports car racing is where they all belong, like the old Trans Am series. This way they look as the factory intended, or real close. Check out an ALMS race, pure sports car racing at its best.

um... the only thing they would have to do to make a Camaro nascar, is get the appropriate stickers that look like a camaro grill/tail lights/etc... cuz all nascars are exactly the same...

The bodies are all the same. Only the decals will be different. Who cares what they're racing. It is no longer NASCAR, it is NAAR.

Yeah, Chevy doesn't need any help from NASCAR to sell more Camaros, as evidenced by this forum. Besides, if anyone saw the mock up of a nascar mustang on Jalopnik, it looked pretty ugly, even for a mustang!

Is that a photoshop? I mean....that's the current Sprint Cup series car now with new stickers.
I thought the NW Series was actually going back to retro cars and production (to an extent) bodies? I really wanted to see all three modern cars go head to head...but if it's just stickers then why are all the teams complaining about costs and such to met the new car requirements? I mean how much are they paying for stickers? |

If nascar would go back to its roots and race actual modified production cars it would be fing sweet. I would watch it all the time. However they run bullshit tubechassis cars with tin bodies with carbed motors...plus allowing fwd cars to compete in nascar as a rwd car is just stupid.
Nascar sucks until the go back to old school rules. It was supposed to be about the cars, not the drivers. Today they have it backwards. |
