Bleeding Edge Military Tech

Two items have come up in the news recently from the very front lines of military research. I think both are equally important and both are supposed to be actually in use in the next few years.

First

Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit(TALOS) is being dubbed as a real life "Iron Man" suit. The user won't be able to fly like in the movies, but the suit is said to provide heat and air, protect against bullets, and monitor medical situations.

Second, and again equally as important

Since the introduction of the MRE(Meal Ready to Eat) for our troops in 1981, the constant request has been for pizza. It has a been a problem of moisture content. Finally scientist have figured out a solution. So now finally our troops in the field will be able to enjoy a slice of pizza.

Why's it gotta be Iron Man or Halo or whatever? How about the advanced infantry suit from Batman Begins that turns into the Bat suit. Seems simple enough.

The end result will be no man or woman inside the suit. Yes ultimately you will need a live human being in theater but just as drones have changed in air recon and missile firing, robots will likely take humans out if harms way.

Skynet anyone?

The cost of the first item will be too much to outfit every soldier with it in the next couple years, and then the bureaucracy and politics in Washington could just shut it down entirely

Personally I think the suits described in Starship Troopers were pretty cool (the book not the movie)
