do you polish or drive?
Was out at Fontana on Sunday. Still figuring out how to drive this thing, but managed a 1:46.752 That was position 5 out of hundreds of cars. My favorite part of the day was passing Viper ACR's, Porsche GT'2 and World challenge mustangs. Im not saying Im fast. This was only the 12th time I have ever been on a race track. Just saying we drive fast cars. Stop washing your cars and get to the track gents. These cars are amazing out there!

Definitely drive. I hate polishing and boring car shows. That's the main reason I got out of 1st gen Camaros.
My grandson can take my Z/28 to car shows in 30-40 years when gas is too expensive to drive it.

I went to the track in Fontana on Saturday to see some a friend of mine, I had never been before and it really seemed like a cool experience. I was able to meet 2 other Z/28 owners who were enjoying their cars as well as lots of other people. Wish I could have gone Sunday as well it would have been nice to meet you. Your times are damn impressive by the way....you running the trofeos? Also what club was hosting the track day over the weekend? Heard of some guys spinning out and what not but I guess there were a couple accidents Saturday, I saw the aftermath of one and some guy's new Cayman GT4 had a very bad introduction a wall, entire drivers side was garbage....driver hung out must of the day after that and didnt seem to upset, I would have been devastated

just got back from 1400 miles to the midwest and back trying to avoid snow squalls...this car was very scary in light snow on the bridgestones.
ps...there is still race rubber under all this mess from the last track day...she's a dirty girl that likes to step out anytime anywhere.

ummm, so far it's been a garage queen. Not intentionally, I just haven't had time to drive it. Leaving for work at 545 am, getting home at 600 pm and on street parking at work means Mr. Z/28 stays home. If we had a freaking parking lot at work, I'd probably drive it 3 days per week..but I ain't about to let this car sit on the street all day. No way, no how. Sucks, because I want to drive it.
You guys that live close to tracks are very lucky!

Mine is a daily driver (2700 miles in 6 weeks) and I enjoy the hell out of it. Haven't been to the track. I can't fit in the car with a helmet. I do wash it myself after rainy weather (lots of that this time of year), but am not overly anal about keeping it spotless.
