Antifreeze

Quick question! What is the best type of antifreeze? I know DexCool! But diluted non diluted and what color orange or green? I need to top mine off! Just want to get the right kind!!!!!

Stay with DexCool. Do not mix it with the green ( Ethylene Glycol ). Ethylene Glycol is chemical that is not compatible with DexCool. When mixed together they form a gel-like substance that stops coolant flow and consequently the engine can overheat.

Yes you can, however, to much water is not good either. Your coolant has a unique lubricant additive that is essential for the water pump bearing/seal.

If you use water, use only distilled water as regular tap water usually contains some mineral in it which is bad for your engine..

I would have to do that anyways, if needed! I have well water! Just gonna get a jug of dexcool, to play it safe!

Actually I was hoping a gifted intellectual like yourself would perhaps provide a detailed explanation

It says 13.4 quarts for the capacity of the entire system. Conventional wisdom would say that a significant amount may remain in the block with just draining the radiator. I was mealy trying to get an accurate refill from someone who has done it.
