I installed my ZL1 side rockers with this video. I purchased the same trim removal kit. I think picture instructions would have been better than video.

I flirted with just doing pictures, but sadly I am one of those people that like to see the nitty gritty in between...so I can get a full sense of what to expect. For whatever reason, for me at least, sometimes picture DYI's leave a little to interpretation.

Oh...btw...your rockers look sharp!

You mean the Quarter Flares?

I can't see how they would, given they seem to hug the stock skirts and the ZL skits flare out...so I am 99.9% sure it's a no. I am sure someone will chime in if I am wrong.

This video is exactly how you need to do this mod. I watched the video and thought surely you could go from under the car and get to the clips. NO, you can't. So from the top I popped the three rear and two front top clips just tap the front towards the rear of the car and it will pop off. Both of my rockers just fell off when I just tapped slowly to the rear. No damage to the car or the stock rockers. I only broke 1 clip on one side and three on the other. Clips are easily replaced and the new rockers have a whole new set anyway. No damage to the mounts at all. You WILL need the plastic trim tool if you want it to go smoothly. Thanks for the video cflbuckeye!

Sure thing. Like I said in my video, I don't claim it's the best way to do it, but when I had to do mine there was nothing out there that helped me...so I wanted to give back to C5. =)

I have a black SS and have been debating on either painting it the entire skirt like you did (CFLBuckeye) or paint it factory. Do you have any more pics of your skirts from different angles to help me make my decision.

I don't have anything readily available, aside from what I posted on the first page of this thread. I can try and take some more this weekend. Did you have a preferred angle you were looking for?

Not really, just trying to get a better idea of how it looks with the rockers painted all black. My thing is this, if I Paint the entire rockers Black then I would have to paint the front splitter black and the ZL1 rear diffuser black also. Just to keep everything uniformed.

A good side shot like Dennis has in his signature , post #35, would be nice.
