AC OFF DUE TO HIGH ENGINE TEMP --- WTF ?? SOMEONE ANSWER THIS

Ok, other than the fact I just took a road trip to DC last week and back to Florida, nothing out of the ordinary has been done to my car.

So today, when pulling out of the parking lot, the below message appeared on the display:

The 4 pack guages were reading the right temps, about 210, I had not been idling the engine, etc.

So once I got the message on the display, I pulled over and checked the OIL/RADIATOR FLUIDS and checking for any burning SMELL...........ALL NORMAL!

The oil was just changed prior to the road trip to DC and I only run synthetic!

It is a SS, AUTO!

Anyone else experience this problem and if so, what was the fix or problem?

What is your engine coolant temp? Did you just turn your car on or was that after awhile of the engine running? The coolant temp gauge looks like it's on 0. If that's the case it could be a crappy thermostat and or temp sensor. Best guess is go to the dealer and let them deal with it. Pun intended.

Something doesn't look right there. Looks like something faulty is overriding...take it to the dealer.

That pic was taken, when I turned the car off..

But message appeared as within 2 minutes of leaving the parking lot!!

Yes, going to dealer to tommorrow, but was more curious if anyone else had this happen?

Like said before may be due to faulty coolant temp sensor or faulty thermostat. Keep us posted on what it is

Sounds like either you have a faulty coolant temp sensor, or your coolant temp really was high...

that message is only displayed when the coolant temp is 255 degrees. imo bad coolant sensor if it is reading 210.

I saw you in DC, I was there for the Memorial Concert at the Capitol. I tried taking a pic of your car as we drove by but only got half of it. Your car is beautiful. I hope it is just a sensor and not actually heating up.

Mine did the same thing last night. I started the car and message came on after about a half mile. I didn't even have the air on. In addition to the message, my temp gauge in the dash below the speedo and and the oil temp gauge in the console weren't working.

I have an Aeroforce gauge so I ran thru the scans and everything was reading normal. Not sure what's going on.

Last Friday I picked up the car from the body shop where they had painted my new ram air hood and filled in the mail slot. When driving it home I was watching the temps trying to see if the new hood was actually cooling anything down. I usually drive in 5th on the e-way because of the drone, but I noticed that it was running between 185 and 192. I installed a 160 thermostat so I was pretty surprised at how hot it was running. When I was in the city traffic it was also getting pretty hot. I thought that it may have been a result of the procharger as I haven't really been able to drive it much since it was installed. I had an issue with the hood from the heat also, but that's another story. Now I don't know what to think. Also am having problems with the rear tire pressure sensors.
