Where are you in NJ? This intake extension is a good idea. I got stuck in a big storm this summer and had to cross a muddy puddle. My car ingested some of that water.

I'd be so pissed. Any damage or signs of water inside the piping?

Im up in North jersey near the NY state border but yeah there are times where ive been stuck driving through a low lying area in really bad weather with water up to the side rockers so its good to have plus it should sopposedly make the induction sound louder also.

It makes it a LOT louder.

The filters are above the mid line of the wheels, and a splash won't hurt them. If you are sucking water in through where the filters are, you have water pouring into the floor boards because it is past the bottom of the door. We drove the shop car through nasty monsoons here and had zero issues.

Yup signs, it didn't seem that deep. Must have been splash, I just about idled through the puddle. No harm done as far as I can tell.

Although I like the stock location, it is fairly easy to get at the filters.

Vengeance racing is in that area. Any shop that can install headers could install this kit. It is very easy.

Just have Ron or someone from Vengance call up AGP and become a dealer. They are definitely good enough to get approved as a vendor.

This looks like a great system and I've been eyeing this for awhile but I decided to go with a different set up. I do have a question though. When I used to run turbo's in my previous cars I would run a diverter valve instead of a BOV. Considering the size of these turbo's and the potential lag that could arise, are these systems designed to run with BOV only? I guess my second questions is the MAF relocated so the ECU doesn't think the air has escaped the system by dumping it into the atmosphere? Just curious.

Name of the valve is irrelevant, you can vent to atmosphere or recirculate.

If you vent before the MAF it makes no difference whatsoever.

If you choose to vent after the MAF...which would be very unusual, then yes you'd expect problems. But then nobody would be daft enough to do that.

As for "the size of the turbos" on most AGP kits...they're babies, I cant imagine lag ever being an issue.

And BOV use has virtually nothing to do with lag.

What he said. BOV/Divertor/Popoff/Noise Maker/Etc is before the Maf, just like all the centri kits too. So venting has no effect, and no effect on lag. Like Stevie said, that is more turbo sizing, and they can set it up with turbos that are full boost 650+ftlbs at 1500rpm if you want diesel tire roasting performance, or ones that come on smooth and nice around 3500rpm. You get a setup tailored to what you want.

Are there other options for air filter location? I live on dirt roads and this is a deal breaker for me, lots of fine calichi dust during dry seasons that would overwhelm an air filter that close to dirt road and unprotected. :(

Also, as Nick has stated, monsoon season in Arizona can get violent;

County dirt road, in my pickup, ~6" water depth, left side of road 24"30" depth....20 minutes of rain caused this.

I have similar concerns to SSeniorMoment. I'm thinking of the AGP kit at some point, but I'm worried about the crazy South Florida weather. The CAI kit seems to put the intakes right behind the front tires from the pictures I've seen, and that makes me worried about kicking up a bunch of water into the intake. The stock location also worries me because of how low it is - how screwed would I be if I hit a puddle? If inclement weather is a real concern, am I better off with a top mounted blower?
