Rocker Panel "Chevrolet" peeling off (on both sides!)

Is anyone else noticing this? I've only got 600 miles on my Camaro and I make sure to never even touch the rocker panel whenever I get in or out of the car...

...I'm taking it back to the dealership sometime this week and seeing what they will do....

...only problem is if they fix it they're just going to replace the sticker with a new sticker and I'll have the same problem in another couple of weeks. I thought those sill plates were actual metal I'm pretty dissapointed that they're not...

That sux. But what do you propose they do to fix it? Make a one-off metal sill plate just for you? If it is a decal then it will be replaced with the same. They just have to make sure the surface is clean and oil free before installation.

One thing to check...when you open/close the door, be sure the bottom is not somehow dragging and peeling the sticker off.

Does not sound right.

Yeah, mine are wrinkled on the edges. For some reason, I thought these would be a real metal plate when I first read about it.

I didn't know the "Chevrolet" on the sill plates was a decal. Wow, how horribly cheap and tacky.

On another thread someone thought I was being rather shitty because I asked for the 2011 Camaros to be more refined. So in addition to the tacky sill decals, they can lose the cheap plastic front grill, design a center console lid that stays open by itself, and develop dog/driving lights that can be turned on at night and shut off during the day. I know, the audacity of me, to ask the bankrupt company to improve a product which will translate into better reviews and sales thus helping the company survive.

Hey, good, this thread helps me tremendously, because the first thing I'm doing to do is totally debadge my car. Anyone have those godawful little GM chiclets on the lower front QP fall off? Maybe the reverse lights are just an ugly sticker too, like the fake headlights on those left-turning "race" cars!

I knew I was gonna get hassled for pics...no, no one has tried to peel them off

...and I don't think it very nitpicky to expect my car to not start unraveling after 600 miles....

I don't think you are getting hassled. The pics would be helpful to help us see the issue and know what to look for in our own cars.
