Does this mean most orders have been fulfilled and they are begining to produce cars for dealer lots?

It means their is a supplier issue, so there will be about 45% less SS's available, projected during that TPW period. Now, keep in mind this may change before the production week...suppliers work o/t, etc....it is a projected shortage, so they will cut back on orders for now.

So a 2LT w/o a production date yet would be fine?

Yeah last night my dealer called me to let me know about the price increase due to the back up sensors. He also told me that GM has increased their production of the V6 Camaro to 60%! Which could be good news for those of us who ordered the 2LT model! I'm hoping that this means my car gets pushed through the production codes a little quicker now! It would be great to have it around my birthday in October...Best present EVER! LOL.

V6's are unaffected. A supplier issue with the SS's will reduce the SS's produced, expected to last greater than 4 weeks.... Here comes the mark up back again! :(

So my the fact that my v6 was at 3300 with a TPW of 8/31/09 means I'm fine? I have the painted engine cover on the order.

You're fine. They may have to "we owe" the cover but the car should be on schedule.

OK, a constraint

So can anyone identify the method by which orders will be taken on, say, a 2ss during the constraint period? If I am reading the posts right, then production is either reduced by 55% or 45%. So, GM is still building the 2ss, but at a reduced rate. If dealers A, B, and C have open allocations, what determines which dealer's 2ss is picked up? Thanks

If I understand right - all the allocations would still be effective just your TPW would be later than as if they were at 100% production. So instead of the current 4-8 week production time it may be 6-12 weeks.
