And about the speed shop painting.....it's awfully funny that the same "speed shop" painted my gfx and did a great job.....it seems that when a shop is run correctly and corners aren't being cut, and hack job installs aren't being performed daily a speed shop is capable of paint work....but once the wack job owner decides to run the business into the ground, copying other products, cutting corners, blowing motors, and outright scamming individuals....all those good painters and techs get smart and leave....hence why quality ends up suffering

knock on wood and 18months later I have zero issues with my chiller and I have no problem with reaching tracey when I need or want. I didn't realize there was someone who was happy with the paint work they got there james. lets not start the rx bash again as we all know there was some good work that came out of there along with the bad. maybe I was a lucky one.

I was the reason those who went there, went. I recommended then, before I realized the downhill slide that happened I guess we are both lucky

A bunch of us were at Gators during a Lake Mary Steak N Shake cruise in. JR mentioned a special that was being run in the forums vendor section about wet sanding the orange peel off of the cars for a pretty low price (can't remember). The ad also said they offered painted, no transition stripes. I have a copy of it in a folder in my desk.

I replied to the ad after doing a little research.

After seeing the paint on that Corvette, I had full confidence they could handle what I was asking them to do.

There are plenty of speed shops that do full custom builds including paint. Pro Street Customs right around the corner from me is one of the best I've ever seen, as well as the shop that built my fathers '31 Ford Sedan and my mothers '32 Ford pick up.

I guess I got lucky to have a silver car...the primer is grey so it doesn't show when the paint wears off.j/k

I'm not ready...I'm taking half a day off to install my calipers, fuel rail flip, tunnel brace, and repair a little wiring. My car is filthy too.
