We've established that VIN#s have nothing to do with it.

I babied this car for the first 500 miles and did the "proper" GM handbook recommendations. I've got 1100 miles on it and it still feels kind of doggish. I am anxious to hear what happens with Scott's L99.
Mine has been getting slowly faster. Until you take yours to the dealer and open up a TAC on it, or while you're waiting on Scotts car, drive yours like you hate it. lol Drive the crap out of it. It may get faster.

The Vins are WAY to spread out for this to be the case.

Just drive the heck out of your car. Chances are, you'll be fine. Do some time tests. See if it's slow.

Mine SEEMS to be getting faster. Juries still out. I seem to have hit a brick wall as far as improvement but the times are more acceptable than before. Still NOT acceptable but closer. If the iPhone app is accurate, I am there. I need to find out how accurate Dynolicous is at time and distance.

[QUOTE=ElAntonius;730245]From now on, I'm going to do epic burnouts in test drives at random dealers for fun QUOTE]

Why not? I test drove a 2006 GTO, did two runs from a dig, both with traction control off, and had the car sideways in the first 3 gears both times, with the sales rep in the passenger seat. Also did this with a 1996 Z28. In all honesty, if your going to drop the change on the car, it should do what you expect or want it to do, OR if you still want the car because of the looks ect.. Be sure to factor in the costs of improvements that will make the car perform to your expectactions. I don't buy anything that I haven't test driven!

Sideways in the first 3 gears?
For the 6 speed stick (06 M6 GTO), 2nd gear shift running wide open is at 69mph. I'd be freaking out if someone was getting sideways at 70+ mph in a test drive. And my stock 05 M6 GTO couldn't do that on dry pavement.
