1000WHP+ GT5594 + TH400+ Methanol

I've been on this forum for a while and it's about time I started a build thread.

I bought the car from a local dealer for 32k with 4378 miles on the odometer in April of 2013, car is a 2012 1ss. Was a ls3/ 6 speed car.

First set of mods(spring 2014), cold air inductions cai, tsp 2 inch headers, dynomax race bullet catback, and lpe gt1 cam ( sold this cam to bo white and hes running it in his car with great success). Car made 444/424 on ips motorsports dyno...
I took the car once to the track and ran a best of 12.83@111 on a 2.05 60 foot.

Next set of mods( fall of 2014), gmpp ported ls3 heads, polluter cam, zl1 rear kit(3.73 gears), along with adm solid subframe bushings, bmr trailing arms and toe rods, delrin upper control arm mounts, poly outer trailing arm bushings. Also bought the rear weld rts wheels with mt drag radials. The car made 472/439 on cincy speeds dyno. No track times on this setup

Next round of mods... winter 2014/spring 2015 lsa conversion kit with 2.50 upper, btr stage 3 pd cam, rotofab cai, d3pe hx and coolant reservoir, 160 stat, zl1 pump, adm fpcm, kb 40amp bap, fic 1000cc injectors. Swapped from the m6 to 4l80e built by jakes performance(stage 2), circle d 258mm 2c triple disc converter. Dss 3.5 aluminum driveshaft. Ez tcu trans controller. Car laid down 685/638 at covert tuning dynamics. Ran an 11.97 @ 111, down a cylinder and a very weak fuel pump(died a week later)

Next round of mods. Winter 2015/spring 2016
Lsa accessory drive, 9.55 lower, fore innovations dual 450s, flex fuel sensor, converter restalled to a 1c. Ported snout, nick williams 102mm tb, corsa zl1 catback, npp diffuser, victory red heritage grille, and emblem pro zl1 fender badges. Trans slipped on first outing at the dyno, sent back to jakes and had it rebuilt and upgraded to their stage 3 trans. Made 595/677 on 93 pump and 731/711 on e85 @ 19psi. Best e.t. to date- 10.38@132, 1.54 60'

2017-18
under construction

2019-
Best et of the season. 8.38@163.15

Hell of a build! Much needed build thread....
I would add some links to your LSA install so others can see you hard work!

So this Wednesday I'm trying to get a couple of my buddies to go to Norwalk with me so I can get a baseline on the car before I add some more power. Time will tell if we actually go... I hope so lol

I'm hoping for 125-130 mph traps and high 10s but probably won't happen my first time out with it

I'm leaning towards an alky control dual nozzle meth kit as of right now over e85 to save some $$$. I will eventually make the switch but money is a little tight right now.

With that many changes, I'd bet $$$$ gets tight!

Lots of cool cars you got there...

Thanks!

My weakness has always been my cars lol

I'm thinking about building a motor for my camaro and putting the ls3 in my chevelle with a bigger turbo. I'm slacking and have yet to finish the car after it blew up with the wrenchrat turbo setup in it

This is the old setup

Had some issues at the track that I can't seem to grasp.

The mph and et are way off.... thinking it's tune related as I bogged off the line with the 1.74 60 foot

So my lnc 2000 showed up today along with a much better tire pressure gauge. Can't wait to go to the track again. Let's see how leaving off the brake picks up(still doesn't explain loss in power/et)...

So after troubleshooting my problem ended up being a burnt wire. #3 wire was laying against the tube.

Did a leakdown test on all 8 to verify the motor was ok. Everything was good. Also did a compression test on #3 which yielded 210psi

Gapped plugs from .045 to .030 on the ngk 7s. Put a set of msd multi angle wires and dei titanium sleeves on. I shouldn't have to worry about burning another wire now, they're not even close!

Now I just need that accessory drive to get rid of the belt slip ( belt dust pictured below)

Today I'm wiring the transbrake and lnc 2000. After a quick call to jakes performance, they said I would need to ground the b selenoid( 2-3 shift selenoid) to activate the brake. Looked at my ez tcu instructions and it's the yellow wire coming out of the trans plug. Will be really simple to install!

Also a look at my wires and sleeves

Well just to update, the transbrake wouldn't hold. I ended up calling jakes performance and they are covering shipping both ways and fixing it! Now that's customer service!

I decided that I would take advantage of the trans being out and get my free restall from circle d. They said the most they can get out of this converters size is 3800 so that's what I'm going with.

Not quite how I planned this to go but it happens. It Should be very strong out of the hole now!

Who did you order the sleeves from for the spark plug wires?

I did install the sultans of spark (coils) to prevent 'blowout' of the spark under boost (or so it says it prevents). Mine are gapped to .040.

I'm going to add a green belt on mine to ensure no 'slipping' of the belt -- I'm not seeing any belt residue, but I'm probably not pushing mine as hard as you are ;o)

Keep it coming!
