It’s doubtful that a bad starter would cause all of the symptoms you described and pretty much no way it would cause the general error code.

Grounds, ground, grounds - Check your grounds!

Also, make certain every single connector that you had to disconnect is fully seated and engaged. These cars are finicky as F when the electrical system is not exactly right.

Also make sure to check that none of the wiring or harness is pinched or caught anywhere or between anything.

Autozone, Advance, O-Reilly, etc... can check for bad cells and cranking amps in a battery and give you a printout.

Once you have done everything above...check your grounds again! This car has a ton of grounding points and some of them are tiny little 16-20ga wires that can be easily missed

But I bet it's the battery

EVERY PART MARKED WITH A '2' IS A GROUNDING POINT (And 5). Unfortunately I only have the underhood diagram, so hopefully someone else has some other grounding point diagrams for trans tunnel area:

The only electrical component moved doing a converter is the starter. There is a chance that something for moved/pinched in the process, but the other symptoms point towards the battery. It was probably unplugged to do the work. Check the terminal connectors as well.

... Then get a new one

Battery, battery.... Like said above, these batteries make the car do weird things when they go bad. Just because it seems good, it is not. Way past time for a new one. Good luck...

Sounds like a possible communication problem to me. With a volt meter set to ohms check across terminal 6 and 14 of the diagnostic connector under the dash. You should see really close to 60 ohms. If it's around 120 ohms you have a open in the circuit. I'd check the connector at the trans for being not fully seated or poor terminal contact.

I replaced the battery and checked the grounds and I got rid of the signs. But after a couple minutes of running I get a Battery Saver Active message on my dash.

Check the voltage at the battery when it is running. Might be a ground keeping it from charging or a bad alternator.

The volts are around 11.8-12. The sign pops up when I have the ac and lights on. I had it running for 30mins to a hour and drove a about 15 mins and it pops up soon as I put it in drive.

11.8-12 volts is to low and indicates a charging problem. I would check it with a separate voltmeter.

A fully charged battery by itself has 12.6v, so your definitely discharging the battery when running. Should be no less than 13v running. Sounds like the alternator is bad, probably just a coincidence it happened after installing the converter.

Might be the starter. It’d do nothing been cranked other than a click when turned from accessory to on like yore starting it. My GMC Sierra starter recently went out. No screeching. Only warning sign was that it wouldn’t start then most times it would. Towards end of its life it would stop more than it’d start.

I'm leaning towards what nota45 just said.
Discharging WHILE RUNNING is mostly an alternator. I don't know about a bad module doing that, no experience there but usually a bad alternator. A shorted internally battery might do that but I'd be surprised it holds 12v if it were the battery being that bad.

I'd say definitely the alternator. Mine has over 14 volts when running. Also I would highly recommend replacing it with an ac delco only.
