This has probably been covered several times but I'm having trouble finding pics. Has anyone done the vinyl decals on the side gills in flat black? I know it seems kinda silly because they will be virtually invisible but with the black cars that is often the point. I have flat black hood spears and love them, just enough contrast to break things up a bit.

I'd actually like to see this is well - I think it would look good. Just have to worry about wax/polish build up around the edges.

If you use the blue masking tape (very light adhesive for painters)....around the edge of the stripes you won't get any wax on the edge

Neat trick I read on here a while back

I did that. Breaks up the gill area nicely. Especialy when the sun hits them. I'll try and get some pics
