LSX shootout - IPS sets IRS Corvette RECORD

Well the chassis modifications and new boost controller worked well so far at the shoot out for our Vette

Best pass tonight is an 8.15 at 173 mph! Setting a new IRS corvette suspension record (old record 8.31), and on a 10.5 drag radial, this is a street car still !

Car here!

We are up tomorrow to tick it down just a bit lower!

Regards

Congrats. Thats freaking amazing for an IRS car. Whats up with the lights though? Wasn't a competition run? Awesome any way you look at it though.

It is an auto and I have a feeling the differential is built by RPM as well as the transmission.

the car is an automatic (4l80e iirc).

great times!

looks like you have some competition this year for the first IRS to get into the 7's.

Ah ha ill get you on this - the car actually has a C6Z rear diff with a quaife, but it does have a th400.

Video of one of the 8.1X runs , Mark got second in the drag radial class!

We still have navigation in the car, both seats, more or less a full interior and the car is street worthy, if we pursue the 7's at the end of the year, I believe we will just try and shed a little weight. We were only 400 pounds over weight for our class.

Thanks! It was encouraging

And we could go down the list of Pfadt products on the car which helped propel the chassis to these times!!!!!!

There is a reason why we sell Pfadt and use Pfadt!

I think Mark's Z06 has every part Pfadt makes except for the drive-shaft only because his TH400 Tranny required a custom shaft. Pfadt's coilovers, sway bars, spherical bearings, and solid mounts all made setting up the car to run the times it has possible.

It is now a cam-swap away from a true 7-second street car
