Run flats dont run when you get a flat due to a breach in the side wall.

Does anybody know if the spare on Ebay that supposedly fits over the Brembo's and fits in the spare tire well actually does fit the brakes and tire well??? My Pirelli's are NOT run flats. It would be a nice piece of mind if I get a flat in the cornfields of northern Michigan on a Sunday night driving home from the cottage.

... if I remember correctly, the spare tire was only an option on the LS/LT cars... my guess would be that the spare doesn't clear the Brembo calipers on the SS.

They all did screw up, or maybe they didnt have a tire machine that will fit 20" wheels, because these tires are NOT run flats.

Your dealer is a genius.

I don't really mind not having the spare. It saves weight and space. I've driven over 200,000 total miles since getting my license, and have never had a flat. It's not something that happens that often anymore. And even if it did, I'm assuming my spare is sitting in the trunk flat anyway (I never check it).

For those that think they have "runflats", why not look at the sidewalls on your tires and see if "RFT" shows up anywhere. If not, you don't have "runflats".

Yea I got the warranty since Im going to be travelling from Houston, TX to Tulsa, OK alot. I never had a flat before until about 2 weeks ago in my Supra. You cant say when youre gonna get a flat, it just happens. I figured these weren't run flats since the runflats on my Supra all have RFT or some sort of label on them.

*Edit: what Zen said, lol. I told the guy at the dealership they werent runflats, but he insisted they were... I have tire knowledge, since I help sell them, lol.

Big blue button won't help much in farm country on a Sunday evening with nothing open..... and having to be at work early Monday morning.

Do not question the blue button. It watches over us all.
