It is tighter. Might get uncomfortable on a long trip, but that's why I have the Silverado.

It is red, but liked the grayscale picture Quote:
Stingray feels lighter and better front visibility, and pulls great having headers the sound is great. Manual shifting always is more fun, but you got tired after so many traffic lights. For sure, the Camaro was a better daily driver, but the thumps up in the Corvette is notorious even that the stance of the Camaro was great with the 1LE replicas and BMR springs. Have more "great car" in one week than 2 years in the Camaro.

I have a 2015 Corvette 3LT Z51 with magnetic ride control convertible that I ordered and had museum delivery. I traded my 2016 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack for my 2018 Camaro vert. I enjoy the Camaro, but my daughter is almost 8 and has no room in the backseat. My son is 11 and doesn't fit in the back seat. It might give me a reason in a year or two to buy a Hellcat or used Demon .

I traded in a '16 2LT C7 for my '17 SS 50th convertible, and the cockpit on the C7 is noticeably more snug. Probably a good 2" lower too. Bad backs and bad knees are not fun in a C7. I'm one of several people around here that traded in their C7 for a gen6.

Prefer the look of vett just a smudge better than the Camaro - but for the 1/2 the price of the Vette . My 2017 2SS is f'ing amazing. I don't regret the decision 1 bit.

Wonder why it looks so much better in gray scale. Maybe the difference in the angles of the pictures.

I would have a Grand Sport if GM wouldn't keep making each generation of the Corvette cockpit smaller. In the C7 I can just fit at 6'3", but that places my left knee directly between the door pad and steering wheel. It is such a tight fit in that spot that I can't even put my fingers there or else the door won't close.
Doing the whole "forward, raise, tilt, recline, lower, back" motion with the seat definitely got me the torso and headroom I needed -- but leg room is still limited to proportionate people at a max height of 5'10" or those that are taller with shorter than average legs. |

Just keep this in mind: a bigger cockpit means bigger car, more weight, higher center of gravity, less even distribution of weight....... all the things that hinder world class performance. Just sayin. |

C7 makes a good garage queen...6th gen makes a better driver. I drove 3 generations of different Corvettes because I was dead set on buying one...that changed once I drove a couple 6th gens. More room, more comfortable, and the visability is fine.

The C7 is engineered for world class performance. Ferrari and Porsche beater. It’s purpose is clear. The Corvette engineering team went to great lengths to really improve chassis dynamics. Part of that is making the car “right sized” for optimum performance. I’ll take a more snug, completely driver focused cockpit over comfort every day. My Mom has a 7 speed ‘16 Stingray Z51 package. It is really a fantastic driver’s car, and it’s not even the best Corvette of this generation. |
