Try an orbital polisher with a few weeks and polishing liquid |

I have had great results removing stains from my rims and road debris from my paint using oven cleaner, try a small spot first.

It looks as if the spot is in the paint not on top like if you run your finger over it it is smooth and flat with the paint

Try a claybar with some lubricant...

Yeah I would try a polish with low abrasive polish. Like something from Adams. Try small amount and go slow to see what is happening

I personally would wipe it with acetone, but I'm sure that scares some people here, so get some Meguires scratch X2.0 and start polishing by hand
The Clay suggestion above is good too. |

If you can feel it sitting on the paint then use clay, otherwise I would try very light polish.
