Oh wow, that sucks. Up here it's almost all ethanol free 91 octane. Some places sell 93 but it's even more expensive than 91. The only fuel I've seen with ethanol in it here is regular and midgrade (since it blends the E10 regular).

The v6 Camaro should not even be apart of Chevrolet performance but rather next to Malibu under cars imo.

In California, all gas is E10...no exceptions.

I'm pretty sure GM would recommend the octane that gives your V6 the best fuel economy. They recommend 87.

The GM recommendations are a "Minimum" of 87 octane. It all depends on the difference in prices, and what you want to spend. I started out running 87, but changed to 93 from Sunoco, and I think she runs better on it. There are charts in the forum on this, if you searched you would find them. I think it pointed to better bottom end performance.
Entirely up to you on what you want to put in it.

First, you already asked this question and got all the answers you really need.

Second, if the LFX V6 is a low compression engine () then your Miata had no compression.

and

compression in the v6 Camaro is more than the SS.

edit: I just clicked that link....why do you need to make another thread on this subject?

This is a common topic. Best answer is to do what I did - test it for yourself. If it's any indication, I'm running 93 octane until prices get out of reach. [it's 10% ethanol here and very few stations offer 91]

There is an advantage to using the higher octane over the long run. It burns cleaner so years down the road you will not have as much buildup in the engine. Car will still run right down the road.

There are quite a few articles on the internet from "experts" and I haven't come across one yet that says using higher octane in a V6 accomplishes anything other than a lighter wallet.
