Hankook Ventus V12 Evo

Does anyone have any first hand experience with the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's as a street set of tires for the ZL1 or ZLE?

I have used them before, not on the ZL1, and they are total junk.

Had them on my old 2011 Mustang GT/CS and they would break loose instantly.

I bought my ZL1 used and that's what is currently on them. Not a horrible tire, but I would definitely spend the extra few hundred on MP4S or RS4s

I hate these tires.

On my Audi RS4, I went from Pilot Super Sports to these, and it was the biggest waste of money. They have incredibly soft sidewalls in comparison and the car went from feeling light and nimble to fat and squishy. Stay away unless your car is a highway cruiser 100% of the time.

I wouldn't go that far but, there is no way in hell they can carry the performance of the ZL1 1LE adequately as they came up short on performance on my Infiniti G37S Sedan. Running Bridgestone S007As on that now and they probably contend with the ever so popular Michelin PS4s.

I also went from PSSs to these and while they didn't have nearly the performance of the PSSs at least they didn't tramline like the PSSs did. I couldn't stand those tires because of that.

There are 2 things NOT to skimp on for a high performance car: Tires and Brakes. The first because it's what contacts the road. Spend the $ on the Michelins or say a set of Pirellis, Bridgestones of equivalent level.

The Hankooks are nice on a V6 camaro

Good to know, I've heard a few decent things about them but not on anything with as much weight or power as a ZL1. I don't need all out 10/10ths performance from my street set of tires so was wondering if the PS4S were worth the premium, considering they're still $350 more than the Bridgestone S007A's. Sounds like most feel they're worth it. Thanks everyone!

Get the Michelins. worth the money. Hankooks are great tires for passenger cars but not performance ones.

These are just basic high performance tires. Great for longevity, but wouldnt handle the Torque output from these cars.

They are. Conti ECS are the 2nd best choice for a bit less if you'd rather save the money.
