No it doesn't. And taking out the console would save even more weight... How cool would it look with just a rubber boot on the tunnel with a 6 speed stick poking out?

The Z/28 is designed to what it should be a great track car, and a great track star it will be. It will be one of the best cars on the track and a halo car for GM. If someone wants a street brawler then a ZL1 or GT500 are better options, but on the track, the Z28 will rule

Me personally I wished GM made the Z/28 available with more options, leave it up to the consumer/dealership to order there Z/28 the way they want meaning (A/C, Premium Speakers, Mylink, etc). To just not offer it period is a bit drastic, but kudos to them bringing the hallowed name back. Just depends now if people want the "refreshed" model or the all new model coming on a different platform MY16. I don't think I'll be getting the MY14 Z/28 as its not practical, because I'll end up adding Speakers and whatever else I wish it came with, so i'll settle to keep what I have and enjoy it and wait until the 6th Gen.
I was hoping for GM to announce some sort of Safety tech package like blind-spot mirror sensors and or front-end collision sensor. I'm guessing that will have to wait for the 6th Gen. It appears the ZL1 was ahead of its time as to why the MY14 will include the same front fascia. Now all models have a very distinctive look which I like. |

Uh yes. We've had an ex GM engineer helping us design the Z28 for years and he's brought those very things up in our discussions. I mentioned nothing about the console.

Its 2013 not 1969!! No radio really? I think its just plain stupid they stripped down the car to save what a 100lbs? They should of started with a loaded SS platform and added the Z28 goodies to that.

Like I said if you want the badge buy one. The Z/28 is supposed to be a strip down track car you either get it or you don't..
You have the option of a SS, ZL1, 1LE.. It's a Race/Track Car!! I don't understand how some of you don't understand that..

It isn't track only, it is just track oriented. That is what a Z/28 is. It isn't meant for everyone and, ironically, that makes more people want it.

What else could a new model have been? The only other model they could have come out with would have been some kind of V6 performance package but the market for that is too small.
