Hey...please let me know that part number! I'd love to try that instead of the entire dash pulled out and screwed up...
Thanks!

I just PM'd Maureen to get a price. I know she will have the best price, plus free shipping.

DON'T let them replace the entire dash for that Leather piece that piece unclips by itself without replacement of the Dash the only part you need to change is the Leather Insert piece on the dash, letting them pull the dash will cause you more aggravation then the Bubble is worth you will have rattles out the rear!!

Yup. They'll pull the entire dash and then realize their mistake and put it back. Then send you home for another week to order the right part. That's what they did to me. And now my dash doesn't line up properly anymore and rattles sometimes... But hey. Working as intended right? .....

I think these may be the part numbers I found in another thread.
22880755 - right side
22757136 - left side of steering wheel

Angrybird 12,

Are these the numbers for the suede part you were thinking of getting or for the Chevy part?
"I think these may be the part numbers I found in another thread.

I see the dealer on Monday and I was planning on showing them these numbers and asking them to verify these are inserts and that I don't need the dash part they apparently ordered for me.

Just want to be sure about these numbers.
Thanks
Kristy

Yep but my wife said she doesn't like the suede... So I won't be getting it.
Maureen at Rodgers Chevrolet gave me a quote for the parts and that was
$175 for the right side and $61 for the left, they do not charge shipping either.

They have a new part that is supposed to be a permanent fix for this issue. That part is on backorder though.

I skimmed over the entries on the first couple pages of the TSB section of the forum and found nothing. Do you have a TSB number or perhaps a link to the thread?

Like others, I'd be curious as to the part number old vs new as well.

Come on guys don't leave out the juicy details from your posts. It's like you're begging us to extract the intel from you. I can understand seeing something and not remembering exactly where or what it was so you just post what you know, and I'm not against searching either, I did, but still. Grrrrr.

And just a general rant here and that is, how in the **** can they come up with a fix and then make sure nobody can get it? Seriously, who does that? You don't mention, by any means, that you have the fix ready unless you have plenty of the new parts to go around. I flippin' hate how companies try to protect their bottom line like this. If they make 1000 and only 500 call in to get it, they wasted money so instead they make 10 and 500 people still call in. What are the 490 other people going to do, go somewhere else? Grinds my gears I tell ya. Same reason they won't publicly admit fault and do a recall, would cost too much and hurt their image at the same time. Whatever happened to doing the right thing, whatever the cost? /rant
