Rear Window Gasket - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

When opening my trunk today I noticed the gasket that is at the bottom of the rear window that keeps the water out of the trunk is hanging half way off.
I can still feel part of the rubber underneath the glass so it looks like the gasket split right along the line where it is exposed from under the glass.

It looks like the rear window will have to be pulled to have it replaced.

Ill be talking to my dealer on Monday.

i've have this problem too, what did the dealer have to do to fix it...?

There is a new seal (part # 92245630) that wraps around the bottom edge instead of just sticking to the inner side of glass. The only problem is, the new seal isn't coming with a tape strip (atleast the 3 that I installed) like the bulletin (09-08-48-007) states it does. GM is investigating the issue. If the dealer installs the new seal and it doesn't have the tape strip make sure they figure a way to adhere it to the window or the new design will fall off too.
