I have a 1968 Z/28 302 M-21 24K original miles car. Its been in restoration since 1995 and just needs a radio...maybe I should just call it a radio delete car......

So all you guys with the G1 cars.....how many have modified (OMG!) the seat bracket so you can sit behind the wheel? I mounted the seat on a custom bracket (yes its removable) so I could stuff my legs in there....so I can drive it out of the garage and wash it, then put it back...its a total garage queen.

I own a 1968 Camaro. It has a 350 engine with a 700 transmission and 4.11 rear end gears. It is a fun car to drive around. It stays inside with my 2011 2SS.

I have seat extensions in my 69. Pushed the seat back about another 4inches. Made a world of difference.

Just bought my first, 1st gen 1969 convertible. I6 plain Jane car. 58,000 miles. It was sitting a little too close to a garage fire. A lot of damage from the firewall forward.

Hey there. My name is Bob. Just got myself another old Camaro, 67 to be exact. Last Camaro was a daily driver mid 11 second 2000 SS I sold a few years ago. Last OLDer Camaro was 20 years ago...an 82 Z28.

I did have a few Camaros before that though, lol (in no particular order):
1968 w/327 and PG (column shift)
1969 w/307 and PG (column shift)
1973 w/350 T-350
1974 Z-28 4 speed (nitrous)
1975 Type LT 350/T-350
77-1/2 Z28 406/T-400 (nitrous)
1978 Rally Sport 305/T-350
1985 IROC 305/AT
and the 82 Z mentioned above....and probably a few dozen other toys...Novas, V8 Vega wagon, Chevelles, Mustangs, El Caminos, etc, etc...holy crap, to have them all back these days, I'd be rich...lol.

Anyway, I just picked up a 67 (EX 6 cylinder car), now with a 327/4barrel and PG trans., and open 10 bolt 308 rear.

Previous owner had it 12 years and in that time he replaced complete floorpans, rebuilt front and rear suspensions, converting to multi-leaf, re-did entire interior, swapped in the 327/PG combo out of a 67 Impala, he bolted on some longtube headers and a stainless 2 into 1 Flowmaster into two tailpipe stock style exhaust. I bought it mainly because I get sore for a week after doing any "involved" repairs or mods due to issues with my back, and this car has a very solid foundation that I can drive as I finish.

It's faded Nantucket Blue, but looks like it needs 1/4's sometime down the road. It also has a 600w stereo with a subwoofer in the trunk, lol. Not something I'd do, but sounds pretty darn good.

Bought it and drove it 85 miles home on the stock little 14" steel wheels & tires...which was an adventure, LOL.

Still un-decided on what to do under the hood. Leave it be? Build another 406? blah, blah, blah...who knows.

I'm also still un-decided on what to do to exterior. I actually think it's pretty awesome to have a car that looks like it's a daily driver, a little different than most, with some character and patina... I did bolt on the brand new spoiler that came with it though...kinda sorry that I did. :(

I bolted on the Welds the 2nd day I had it. Did a Powerglide to Turbo 350 swap the first weekend, carb swap a week ago, and already took the Weld wheels off for some Rally wheels (still waiting on the trim rings), this past weekend, lol. The Weld Draglites stain so easy (and were stained bad from sitting), and since the car is outside a lot, and I can't really be crawling around on the ground polishing them, they had to go. I have a total of $160 into the whole rally wheel setup. $60 for the two 15x7's and two 14x6's, $60 into the cheesy spinner caps, $25 for the 245/60's on the rear, and $15 for two cans of Duplicolor to paint them. Front tires came off the stock wheels, so that was a no cost swap.

sorry for the long first post....

Look forward to re-learning some stuff, learning some stuff, and hopefully sharing some stuff while I am here.

I know it's nowhere near as nice as most cars pictured before mine, but I gotta admit, it is nice being able to drive it anywhere, park it anywhere, and not flip out if someone leans against it, lol...

As I bought it, and drove it home: (Hadn't been on the road for 12 years, lol)

The next day: (the tires were too short, and the wheels were stained, but looked ok)

And this past weekend:
(Horrible picture in shade with cell phone, but best I got)

Interior: (I would have kept the column shift strictly because you never see them)

Underhood:
(Freshened up and detailed a bit, old 327 out of a 67 Impala)

My 67 started life as a 6, 3 on the tree Ermine white with that same interior.
Thought I posted in this thread but maybe not... here is my 67 coming together
