Bad alignment =. Horrible tire tread life
So I had about 800 dollars worth of suspension work (bushings, toe links, etc.) installed at a local md ship before I moved down here to Florida, and an alignment done. Moved to Florida a month later, bought new BF Goodrich Comp Sport 2 tires to the tune of around 1000 bucks after warranties and all that. 3,000 miles later, the inside of the rears are already bald....does this sound accurate? Should I be calling the alignment shop? WOW...got me even rethinking on getting another pair of summer tires in favor of some all season longer range tires...smh

did you get alighnment specs from first shop when it was done? Are you lowered? Do the wheels look to have excessive negative camber? be curiouse to see toe and camber settings.
Any track time? Definately something off if you went through them in 3000 miles... |

I am lowered an inch, they didn't look that cambered...no track time and I drive a little spirited, but hardly ever burning out. I've done reviews on the comp sport 2's...nobody ever talked about tire wear being an issue. :/

Probably more so toe than camber, yes camber will wear out the inside a bit, but toe will really kill them in a hurry.

I got a bad alignment when I did all my suspension mods. In a year it took the inner third off the rears. The alignment shop tried to say I must have hit something.

Get us pics of the tire wear,
do you have a printout of the alignment? |

Had an alignment done on mine. 5000 miles later, I needed new tires. Took the opportunity to upgrade.
I actually made a trip Virginia to San Diego and back.
