My New ZL1

The process is finally over. Just purchased it this past Saturday. Very excited for spring.

I have been looking at SS vert's for 2 years and haggling with dealers and trade-in's. After calculating all the mods I am glad I waited for the ZL1.

When I get in it, I feel like Darth Vader or Mad Max. lol The all Black is just sick!

Highly recommend Jeff Wyler Chevrolet and my salesman Dale Eggenschwiller. Easiest car purchase ever. Great price too! $3k under MSRP. No options except for automatic.

Had a $1,000 private offer for Camaro but the ZL1 was excluded. Very upset at that. I purchased at least 7 GM's since I was 20 years old.

This car is very powerful and I need to respect it. A little scared til I get used to it.

Can anyone verify if there are only 500 2013 ZL1 vert's produced?

Look at the last 5 digits of your VIN. Is it over 500?

I don't know the exact numbers yet but they did have sequential VINs.

For example my 2013 coupe ZL1 last 5 are 00285 so I have the 285th 2013 coupe ZL1.

I don't know the official number of ZL1 Verts produced so far, but I'd bet it's less than 500.

Over on the 'ZL1 Registry . com' web site, there are only 28 registered, and maybe that many listed on this web site.

Of course not everyone that has one will have visited/registered at either web site, but even accounting for that, it stiil leave a lot of them out there unaccounted for if they've made 500 so far.

And the model year is far from over.

The VIN's are the same series for both the coupe and the Vert, so there's no way to tell just from the VIN how many Vert's were built so far.

No worries.

The ZL1 VIN's are different than the SS VIN's I believe, but the coupe and Vert VIN's are all in thew same series.

I have one of the earlier Verts built 8-13 (production started 8-1-12 I think) and mine's #1260.

MADMAX? That would make for a great vanity plate! You should go for it! and congrats!
My ZL1 vert is 3878 and HDRDTD is right. The sequential serial number is for all ZL1's, coupe or convertible. I think we're into the 5000's by now so if you aasume the coupe to 'vert ratio is 10 to 1 then 500 is about right, but only GM knows
Enjoy your ride!
