AC shut off due to high engine temp.

Without me driving hard or getting into boost my car keep alarming "AC shut off due to high engine temp." Also when this happens my car drives weird.. At first I thought I may have an issue with my tune, but this seems to be an issue with our cars. Being boosted I would assume the dealership is out the window... My car is a 2014 with 9k miles on it.. Advice please..

What is your Oil/Coolant temp when this happens?

Do you have an intercooler blocking your radiator?

Air in the coolant system, belt slip? Faulty temp sender? When was the system installed? Any coolant leaks where coolant is low? Any coolant in the oil? Stuck close thermostat?
Are the fans running when this happens? Blown head gasket?

More info about install and how long since installation would be helpful...

I had this once. The temp sensor at the front of the driver's side hell had the connector fall out.

But, like already said, we need more info. If you're leaking boost into the coolant, the temp can spike VERY fast.

Might be as simple as shutting off code p0128 in the computer.

I have had this happen numerous times......the alert shows up in the DIC and the coolant temp gauge and oil temp gauge both to ZERO. Pull the code, and it is always a P0116 "ECT circuit range/performance". I replaced the sensor in the head, the first time I got this code, but still kept getting it. I have a scan gauge as well, so I'm always monitoring the temps, and the car never gets over 195*F, EVER.
I used HP Tuners and just turned off code P0116. Been driving it like this for over a year without any issues.

Where do you live, and what is the engine coolant temp when this happens?
