Hell ya man! For suspension, definitely #1 in my book is the solid subframe bushings! (either solid poly or solid solid).

I have roughly that same exhaust setup (except no cats), and I agree, I think it's the best! Zero drone, nasty at WOT, great at idle!

As far as numbers, ya...I'd be pissed with them that low. Maybe it's a different type of dyno??

I respect you not wanting to do the work yourself. I have an L99 too. I'm jealous of your upgrades.

The only thing that counts is YOUR happiness with the car and how she performs. My buddy did the same thing with his cammed/whippled Camaro with the exhaust like yours, and I gotta say it DOES sound amazing thru the stock mufflers. You know its there, but not raspy and loud like my Corsa. I actually like the way his sounds.. Good luck and lots of smiles per mile!!!
Totally agree. Thanks, so far it's been fun seeing all this through. Driving it is just phenomenal fun.

One installation concern I'm trying to get answers on is the placement of the transmission cooler- right in front of the Vararam scoop. Seems like that would rob it of the ram air it's designed to catch. Thoughts?

A couple times recently on start up, I've experienced difficulty turning over, and then when it does, the engine idles around 1200 (usually idles around 850) and then when I increase throttle, it'll run up to 2000-2200 and hang there, not coming down unless I turn off the ignition. Each time it returned to normal after a few starts. But the first time, I tried to drive it that way and it was almost undrivable. I'll consult with GPI next week. Most of the time it starts and runs just as it was tuned (GPI). But it has done this twice. Any ideas?

It sounds like a tune problem to me.

Now it starts hard, then finally fires up and goes straight to 2000 rpms every time. Throwing a CEL with P1400 code.

That's odd, because the P1400 code is for the differential pressure feedback or egr circuit low input which makes no sense because we don't have an egr. So it must be the diff pressure and I have no clue on what that is. I would just wait until you speak to GPI. It's got to be in the tune.

I’d check the TB and MAF

P1400 CHEVROLET Code - Cold Start Emission Reduction Control System
Possible causes:
Dirty Throttle Body, Dirty Air Filter, Dirty Mass Air Flow (MAF),Sensor Intake manifold leak,Exhaust leak, Damaged, restricted, modified or enhanced exhaust system

Wow that's a lot of possibilities. I pulled the code from hp tuners.

I should mention that it starts and runs just fine on warm starts and restarts. Only does this when 'cold'

I sprayed carb cleaner around intake manifold gasket and TB, etc. No change in engine noise- steady at 850.

Sounds like that took care of the problem. If so good but hard to figure out how it might have been a soiled TB issue as it’s brand new. Do you have a catch can?

It's a Soler PTB, not soiled. I sprayed carb cleaner around the intake mani and TB to see if it indicated a leak somewhere as a few people recommended. yes, I have a catch can.

Everything is pointing to something wonky in the tune- maybe a cold start parameter that's off or something. I'm dropping it off at GPI and Ben is going to see what he can figure out.

I'm thinking also that something is off on the cold start idle circuit tune, or maybe a damaged/dirty MAF...
