You shouldn't have blind spots if you set up your mirrors correctly, I hardly ever have to look over my shoulder when attempting a pass. Plus after awhile of driving you will get a sense of how long and wide your car is so passing will become easier.

Honestly take your time to set your mirrors and SEAT! If done correctly you should have none to very little blindness.

....as noted in several of the post, adjust your mirrors.

a lot of people don't know how to .....

a simple how to from you tube.....

when properly adjusted and in a normal driving posture, you shouldn't be seeing the side of your car......

Interesting. 3 yrs and never had any issues with blind spots. Mirrors need to be adjusted.

ya for instance i backed into a mailbox (2 weeks after getting the car) because i thought i was in the road so i turned. it was 3am. my back up sensors never went off. If I hadn't had sensors i would have gotten out of the car a looked befor i turned. Couldnt see anything at all behind me. The back up lights on these things are useless.
I have round mirrors. i got adjustable ones. they help.

I was taught once the vehicle you passed is seen in your rear view, it is safe to merge back over.

Traffic can still be a challenge until you really KNOW the car. But I agree setting your mirrors properly will make a huge difference. If you do it right, you should be able to watch a car seamlessly go from your rearview to your sides.

I had my mirrors adjusted to what I thought was pretty good until I read the Car & Driver article. Never had any problems before but now it's even better. I can just barely see the rear fenders and can see almost two lanes over on each side. It really did make a difference.

As stated, if all three of your rearview mirrors are properly adjusted, you do not have any blind spots.

I have my passenger seat pushed all the way back and down so that I can see out of the tiny window. I'm gonna try adjusting the mirrors like you all suggested
