That is blisteringly fast!!!!
Baylor, well done on the overlay. The Z/28 is around 6 seconds ahead of the ZL1 when he hits the start of the last straight. Then the ZL1's 13mph advantage catches it up a bit. Maybe it's just me, but that's damned impressive. |

That takes some guts to drive this track at speed with so many blind turns and dips.
I can't imagine going nearly 160 in the rain. Michael |

Ever seen Tiff Needel do 200 mph in a Bentley around an oval in the rain? That's about as scary as this.

X2
The Z28 had 10 second on the ZL1 at 6m21s. Then the rain starts just before the long back stretch where the ZL1 gets some time back. The gap is deeper then 3.8sec. After reviewing the overlay, the Z28 should be able to crack the 7:30.00

Awesome time and win for team Camaro but I think we shouldn't compare the Z/28 and ZL1 cause they are design for different purpose but anyway a good addition to the family. I'll get one used from somebody that didn't know what they were getting them self in to and save some money on a track car.

well I downloaded the best Julia Child Crow recipe as I am disappointed in the time. Considering they have had the car there at least twice as far as we know and it was a closed track...I'm surprised they showed a rain lap...this makes me think they have something better...so I will eat that big steamin bowl if a better time is not gotten.
He knows exactly where he needs to be in segment times...the display was blurred...so he tried even harder in the end in the wet. Who was the driver? Do all you people now concur the car can't break in to the 20's? and if this time stands I now predict 70k tops. Last edited by backtotintops; 10-14-2013 at 10:37 PM. |

Smh at some of the posts here. Comparing the ZL1 in the dry to the Z28 in the wet is not fair at all. Also on the last straight away the Z28 is not flat out. He held back. He was at 6k on the rpms and held it there. The red line is 7k on that motor and could have hit 170 on that last straight.
Also watch the video of the Z28 and the ZL1 back to back. The Z28 is so much more balanced and smoother through the corners. I have raced in the rain and dry on the same day on the same track in the same car. You lose a ton of time even in damp conditions. I would put money on the Z28 could get into the 7:20's

Depends on how many they make and for how many years. They will drop just like any new car.

Great run. Too bad there was rain towards the end. It will probably run 7:33-7:35 in dry weather.
Exhaust note is incredible. One of the best sounding cars today.

I'm starting to believe this is a Mark's Ruse! lol (Reuse)
Is there a dry run on video to come later...? humm... This run deserved to be posted first. They are showing the world's best sport car manufacturer that we can beat you in the wet.

Well it didn't exactly finish where it started did anyone see this or just me. Time would have really be in the 7:40 + range if they stopped the clock where it started.
