Sorry guys, this piece I found in a local wholesale electronics store.... It didn't exactly fit, but with my trusty dremel, it finally did

.... Ultimately you need to connect to the power source, it could be with a plug, hardwired, or some type of crimp connector

I think this looks awesome! Question though. Is the female power connector above the fuse box present in all trim levels of camaro? Have a 1LT and would like to see this in my car.

I measured the I.D., and O.D. of the tube I used, and it should accomodate 2.5mm wire with no problems

I believe this is the "offical GM" connector (from one of your earlier ABL threads) if you want to buy it for $27:

For that price it shouldn't be too hard to find something that can be modified to work.

I believe these plugs are only on the 2LT / 2SS....Not sure

You could always pull the panel off to check

Will do. Gotta wait a couple a weeks though till the car gets here.

When we did RickRay's car, it took us about 5 hours. Probably could have done it quicker, but we were really taking our time.... The longest part is the sanding of the trim ( just tape off the area you do not want sanded, and go to work

).

, I just ordered the parts, I was going to go with the electric tape but did not like the idea of not being able to dim them and the expense. also great tips on sanding.

Boy, I'm actually having a hard time finding rigid tubing.
None of the pet stores around me carry it.
I might have to order it online.

Speaking of the tubing; if you guys were going to go all the way around the door panel with the EL lighting what would you use for tubing?
Would you use the rigid tubing and heat it up and bend it or would you use the flexible tubing?
One note: I found out while checking around; the 3/16 flex tubing is mesured on the inside and the rigid is measured on the outside. So the flex slides over the rigid in case you want to join two rigid pieces together.

So maybe the way to go is use rigid where it is more straight and use the flex around tight corners for the doors.

I'm still waiting for my lighting stuff to get here from Canada so I have time to plan all this out.

We have a Camaro5 meet on Saturday, be cool if I could do the lighting before then.

I ordered mine about 4-5 business days ago and already received them. I haven't looked for the tubing yet but I suspect a hardware store *might* have something if the pet store doesn't but I'll try PetCo/Smart first

Found a Pets Plus that had 2 left over, they dont sell it anymore.
