I would recommend it as a diy job. The hardest part is the stripping of the rear interior. It’s been 2 years and about 100 cycles of the top for me and so far so good. Good luck to ya, you should be fine!

There is a small line that attaches to the lifting arm. I can’t remember if there’s a supply and return or just a supply line. I would get to the original lift cylinder first to confirm.

Ok, I have gotten to the the bad cylinder and was able to take it off but then got hesitated to proceed when I saw the hose attached to the cylinder. Since the cylinder and the hose are very hard to access I hesitated to proceed since I was not sure if I would be able to get the hose back on the new cylinder and the oil properly refilled. ( Even though @jonesm24 and @DaddySS in post https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showt...2#post10549092 ) explained the process. .. it felt like it could end up in a disaster so I decided to bring it to a upholstery show that I found which has done that kind of work before. The shop installed the new cylinder for $150 , but now the other side is a little slower. I will have to bring it back to the shop so they can service the system .. my be to little hydraulic oil !?

No worries, just took a little digging to figure it out. It’s worked great since I replaced both cylinders.
