Got CAGS?

Ok so just saw this on phastek performance site a "skip shift eliminator" and not sure I've ever been forced in to any gear I didn't want to go to before? And I've never! Noticed any warning light about this before either... do our i4s come with this? And if so do I really need to get this because I've never really noticed this occurring before. Now I'm going to be looking for this though lol but I feel I would have noticed if this would happen and I switch gears constantly to any gear I feel like it without any significant force against me...?

Our 2.0T models don't have the skip shift in the first place, HOWEVER occasionally my DIC will give the 'Shift 1-4 for fuel economy' message if I'm in 1st or 2nd gear and very light on the throttle while above ~2k RPM. It doesn't do anything, though; it just gives the message.

CAGS is a function on the 6spd manual equipped V8 cars starting with the Corvette, Camaro, Mustang and Viper with the T56 and forward into the newer 6spds as well.

It was discovered under low speed, low throttle conditions from a start with a very... "non spirited acceleration from a stop" that by forcing the driver to go 1-4 instead of rowing 1-2-3-4 to get up to road speed that the city fuel economy could be improved by just enough on the EPA cycle (EPA and DOT are different) to avoid the gas guzzler tax.

My Camaro has it, and it never actually bothered me enough to get a CAGS eliminator (which is just a connector with a resistor in it).
