From what I heard is that the hood clearance to the pulley is the only issue on the ZL1 with the KB 3.6. I for one would also like to see it in one of our cars.

Have you dynoed with your old combination? It would be great to see the difference between the two over laid and see if and how much power is lossed down low and gained up top.

I would also expect lower IAT's with it.

The KB is gonna out perform the 1.9L TVS everywhere, even in low rpm's, its not like a large turbo. Its pumping in more air with every turn of the rotor's.

my car made low 700s through a unlocked converter on a mustang dyno..

the fastest its ever went on boost alone was 10.34

im pretty sure with a 3.6 liter blower and 20#s of boost it would be a complete animal.. my motor is good to we think about 1000 hp.. stock crank, good rods and pistons...im going to do trick flows if I pull the trigger on this at the same time... and they will be touched by the hand of god before they go on..

I think the COPO hood looks a bit too tall. I'd find something in between stock and the COPO height. I mean if you're gonna get a COPO hood you might as well get the 4.2L KB and really have a game changer

I watched a Kenne Bell car go 204 miles an hour today at the Texas Mile, I talked to the owner and he said his lAT's are ridiculous and he has the biggest ice box I've ever seen in my life.

Looks like he has a serious build there.

Do you know what he was getting for AIT2?

What cooling mods he has over and above the ice chest?

How much nitrous was he shooting on the run?

The 3.6 would be an awesome upgrade if the intake temps can be controlled.
No one speaks of the 3.3 whipple. Do they offer a version for the LSA?

[QUOTE=islander033;7125179]Sadly the 3.6KB doesn't fit under the stock Shelby hood. Even with lowering the engine you need a different hood, unless you already have a Super Snake.[/QUOTE

Why is it the Ford guys are having better luck with KB ? You don't see them bitch much about Kenne.

Because KB loves us more than they do Chev.

PS. what are the Chev complaints about KB?

They seem to have poor customer service and only a few on C5 have them. Most complain of tuning and IAT issues. I think it is a perfect size. Baron needs to show us how to make it rock.

There's gotta be something wrong going on with that setup. Revan Racing saw lower IAT's when switching to a 3.6L over the 2.8L during 200+mph texas mile runs and was luke warm to the touch. 119* degree IAT's to be exact and I don't think that was even using an ice box. Probably just a Revan Racing dual pass heat exchanger with fans.

Customers are going to have much better luck and support when ordering through an exceptional and knowledgable vendor like Van from Revan Racing instead of calling KB on their own.

Sorry its a GT500 forum but thats only because they've been doing this much longer and have more support and comparisons on big twin screw blowers.
