100% showroom condition again. Wasn’t expecting that to be honest. Good stuff, and typical for a German product, not environmentally harsh.

No Skeleton Bones on the can needed to warn the consumer with these ingredients, unlike other products from others we see on the shelves in auto parts stores

sorry if off topic but can the suede fabric come off the knob? My shift knob almost feels fabric less. Has a flat kind of feel to it and only areas that aren't usually held onto is where you can feel the suede. Same goes for my steering wheel. Should I even bother trying to clean or just get new ones?

Try cleaning it first.

Mine shift nob was shiny, flat feeling.

Back to showroom condition now.

Definitely try a cleaning first. You'd be surprised how much the feeling changes from the oils off your hands matting down the suede.

Tried the dawn dish soap just now and it worked perfect. The shift knob looks new! However, didn't take the knob off. Just put a small towel around the based to catch the water. Then wet the knob with a wet micro towel. Added a drop of dawn and then scrubbed with a tooth brush, Rinsed the brush in a small cup of water (could really see the dirt come off) and then used a wet micro towel to wash the suds off. Then dried with another towel. 5 minutes tops. May do the steering wheel next.

I was cleaning mine last year and the suede actually started coming apart. I ended up buy a new knob. Think I paid $70 for it.

That happened with mine when I used the suede shoe cleaning kit that was recommended here. The shifter began to peel up at the glued seam on the top.

Switched to an MGW shifter with the orange SS knob.

For my steering wheel I used Adam's Polishes method with the carpet and upholstery cleaner, utility towel and brush. I throw in the vacuum like ammo NYC shows too

Dawn dish soap with warm water on a microfiber towel worked wonders on my ZL1's suede steering wheel.

Looks nearly brand new again!!
