Anybody with a 2014 ZL1 Recaro Seat that does not like them, please send me a PM. I am sure we can work out some kind of a deal.

A local dealership here has them in a 1LE, I tried them out and I really like how they hug you. I could really use them for AutoX, If you've seen my videos I have to lean really far into the turn. These would help keep me from needing to do that plus give the ability to use a 5 point harness.

did you get to drive the car or just sit in it? im going to need to drive one. I thought I read on the forum somewhere that they were a bit restrictive for shifting in the manual car

That's what you want, to be planted in the seat, and not on top of the seat. You should not have to use your legs to center yourself thru a high G turn! The stock seats are terrible in a car touted for it's handling ability. The Recaro seats should have been an available option when the ZL1 was first released! Wait until you sit in a car with 5 points attached and cinched down. I never saw a post stating that the seats were restrictive when shifting?

I have 2,500 ish miles on my Z and have yet to be restricted when shifting.

The head rest not being able to adjust kills it for me,as my spinal cord is fused and the headrest leaning forward would break my neck again in a crash,lol,plus even just sitting in my normal seats i have to flip the head rest around back wards just just i can drive,,its funny to see the ZL1 on the head rest from the rear with the top down..

I heard the reason GM restricted the Recaros to 2014+ is because GM feels bad for giving 2014+ owners that new rear fascia. J/Kidding.

Seriously, those Recaros are gorgeous. That said, unless I tracked my car often, I wouldn't pay $4k-$6k for them. I am very wide up top and those seats feel like they would start to get annoying driving around town.
