Do you know if any/all run groups typically sell out before their events?
cdrptrks, yes it is very bumpy, but the Mag Ride makes it much more bearable than my buddy's ZLE with DSSV.. I have an easier time running my car than his (though that 650 HP on the back stretch is a BLAST!).. I am glad that i went with the SS 1LE for the "ride-ability" of the MagRIde. I drive in "Track" Mode, with "Sport 1".. it works for me..

PDG is a great group! Henry is a great guy and runs a tight ship; his folks flow the sessions really well (grid while clearing the track and press out as previous group is coming in), which gets you the max time on track.. Additionally, they supply H2O as well as catered lunch... A big bonus.

Thanks for the info Tango1LE!

I tried out the SCCA Track Sprint format for the first time last weekend and managed to get 3rd place in my class on Sunday! I also met the SCCA Time Trials Tuner 3 national champion who beat me by 2 seconds in his V6 1LE with camber plates and RE-71R tires...looks like I have more room to improve my driving skills than I thought before fully utilizing my car's capabilities! The track sprint format really got my heart rate up and adrenaline pumping more than a normal 20+ minute lapping session and there was just enough time to watch the PDR video before the next run. It is a great way to focus on improving a specific corner since you can review the PDR video/telemetry after every run. Also I tried launch control in PTM Race several times both days but never managed to get it to produce a better launch than I can do by myself.

Tried out Eagles Canyon for the first time yesterday with SCCA Track Night! Grid order worked out for a great photo op before one session...American muscle with American colors!

6/15 New York Safety Track

This was my second track day at this track and it's a lot of fun! Lots of elevation changes and off camber corners. Third track day on the stock GY Eagles. They're holding up great but get very greasy towards the end of the runs.

Personal best starts at 9:00 in the video, 1:39.27

After a loong winter break I finally made it back to the track! Got the chance to test out the new GoPro as well as my current 305/19 square setup on Toyo R888R tires (I know, controversial choice ^^). With not that many good track tire options in Germany, this gave me a decent and available option to run without having to import. So far I quite liked the setup actually, which could be partly due to the wheels and offset improvement... but other than the super loud noise, I have nothing negative to say about the tire after 1,5 track days. During the half track day last year I achieved a PB on them. This time it was too hot for that (close to 90) and I mostly had passengers on board. But overall good feedback and predictability, despite a lot of negative stuff I heard about these tires.
Feedback on driving style is welcome. I was trying to focus on trail braking and keeping the car balanced through the corner. Was running stock pads that day, so I tried to take out as much energy as possible with my wheel movement.

My last west coast event for a while ... good times on the corkscrew. My little buddy may have taken one of these pics but more likely was my wife so glad they enjoy coming out to enjoy this stuff with me.

Time to harass some GT3RSs and Turbos on the east coast 🤓
