Need part name and number

Does anyone know what the name of the circled part is and the part number?
Not the crash bar but the plastic piece attached to it.

You are so right. Hope nothing happens to our rag top because that’s discontinued also.

So tell us how you really feel.

I couldn't tell you a thing about Mustangs or their support. I don't really care, TBH. To me, they were never a car that said "Drive me!" anyway. So I don't. And can't see that happening anytime soon. If it means that much to you, how come you haven't gone down to the Ford dealership and bought you a new one yet instead of giving it lip service here?

I've got older GM cars from the 80s they no longer make, so I'm used to having no aftermarket support for years on end. Make or save a used one for whatever part you need. Sad part is that even back then, they produced a lot of spare parts and NOS ones are still floating around here and there that you can get through 3rd parties. Not so much with the newer Camaros. And that's the real crux of the issue.

GM sucks, and "woke gm" sucks even harder.

All manufacturers eventually discontinue all parts. If you want to race old iron, you either need to invest in a stock of used parts or buy replacements from the aftermarket. DSSVs were over a grand each when they were available, so you can probably find a pretty good coilover solution in that price range, albeit if you only need to replace one having to spend 4-5k to replace them all is annoying. I never worked on a Mustang, but I have worked on Fords and never enjoyed the experience. For me the GenV having the LS platform is a huge plus and I was able to use parts from Z28s, ZL1s and 1LEs to improve my cars for not a lot of money before parts got scarce. If you don't want to deal with parts scarcity, you have to race fairly new iron. If that means a Mustang for you, go for it. I would rather race an S10 pickup.

I would rather race granny’s station wagon than a mustang. Go buy one already…

Contact Lee C Parts. They usually have lots of salvaged ZL1s in their inventory with lots of available parts. I've bought several things from them.
