The last real muscle car that GM made. I still get tons of compliments because of the colour and cam.

Because after 7 years of ownership it still sparks my imagination every single day. I daydream about this car like a child. It has become a part of me, and me a part of it. It keeps me from getting and thinking old.

I love all the comments here. They really do cover the entire aura that is desiring and owning one of these rolling beauties.
I know I've told my story here a few times, but after having owned literally dozens of old muscle cars over the decades, I turned to the modern versions when they started producing the throwbacks but with a modern skin. My first purchase in the new era was an 09 Mustang GT. It had fantastic curb appeal but lacked power. (300 HP? Pishaw!) But it was a fun ride on the curvy back roads and frankly had an exhaust sound that neither of my Camaros can match. But I had wanted a 5th Gen Camaro ever since the day I saw the concept car online years ago. I didn't realize the dream of ownership until 2019 when I moved back to SoNev. I have been very happy ever since. You all have already described the car quite eloquently so I don't need to go on with the same adjectives, but I will say this: modern muscle is where it is at for me and the 5th Gen Camaro checks all the boxes and then some.

For Sure InFiD3ViL. My inner 12 year old comes out every time I see it. When I make a trip to the store, I love getting the first glimpse of it in the parking lot when I head back.

I always use the remote start as I get close, just to enjoy the snarl when she fires up :-)
It sounds like it's ready to rip up the road!

I park it and I walk backwards just staring at it. Of course I do that with my new GMC Sierra 2500 AT4.

To me the 5th gen is among the best looking of camaros, although I am partial to the 4th gen. This is an amazing feat, even with the 6th gen being excellent in every parameter.

I daily drive my 1LE. I wanted a muscle car feel with sports car handling. Tge Gen 5 1LE does that way better than any of the competition. Plus I always wanted a Camaro.

I Love the looks of the 5th gen and the complements I still get after 14+ years. And I've only needed to change 2 tail lamp bulbs since new. That's reason enough to keep it.

I think I was 9 when transformers came out in 2007, probably saw the movie too many times years after that, so the car was in my mind for while, guess the marketing dollars paid off, by time I could even think about putting money together with college done and such I didn't really like the front or rear designs of the 6th gen or redesigned 5th. I also liked it because like others said it's a good mix of new and modern, had the new features you want but not yet the ones you don't, like the auto stop, electric power selteering (yes i know 5th gen got it too and i will keep being a little baby about it), all the beeps and expensive sensors, plus I worked at GM parts delivery and learned that Chevy is typically cheap and simple enough to fix and work on. Finally I'll be a baby again and say I don't like the switch to direct injection in 6th gen.

It's my DD, and it's paid off and runs very well for having 176k miles.

5th Gen is the best Camaro.
I have had a 2010 SS that has been turned into a barely street drivable race car. I had been daily driving a 2018 SS for a couple years. Saw a mint 2010 SS RS 10k miles and bone stock. Went to the dealership and traded in for it. I did not really like the 6th gen and they are annoying to work on. Now I have matching 2010 both under 11k miles and not looking back.
