i have some TSB's and will share!! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

ok, i have had a top replacement and the tape tsb is done. after, i have wind noise and ripples in the top. these two bullitins should help a lot.
Firstly,the dealer denied hearing wind noise and the upholstry shop did agree that all was normal. they reported this normal condition to customer service who told me there was nothing they could do to fix a normal top. That's when i said "Look the rear window is crooked! You can't hear that?"
so after the window repair i still a wind noise tho greatly reduced, but still there. and proves that they are just going to deny a problem without looking for it. I asked him to search dilligently for a tsb, but he showed me all the tsb's on the camaros, but no luck on wind noise.
so i went by the bank, got a stack of 20's and started waving mechanics over.
Here are the tsb's
i'll just post the numbers right now, and i'll scan them in and figgure out how to post entire tsb after i have a drink! wow what a ride.

#PI0565 wind noise from rear quarter glass-sep 13 2011
#PI0482 wind noise from front door glass at highway speed may 26 2011
the second one should also help with the wrinkles, if you have them

and don't worry about the username! the kids got me on xbox and call of duty and then well i had the username and password memorized...

i can also get the tsb on the initial top repair, i was just so excited i forgot!

I've got the last one (last week of Sept, I believe) ref the rub marks... if anyone else is interested, PM me your E-mail, ill forward it to you. I've sent it a few tines already. Its 11 downloads and I just haven't been by a desktop long enough to download and post it recently....

damn that was a lot of messages in only 8 hours!

As such, there's obviously more people than I thought that were interested in this TSB- so took some time out before going to get my car this morning and uploaded... sorry came out as a PDF, but you should be able to click on each one and it'll open. Hope this helps!

I'll give them my car and 10K to upgrade to a ZL1 Vert! Actually, I would just like a whole new assembly with all the fixes on the top to be reinstalled on my car. Brand new like it should be. Not just the canvas.
