It did not work for me the first time, so I closed the window and tried it again, and it worked the 2nd time.

I pinned the post on the top of the page. This suit applies to anyone who owns, has owned, or leased a Camaro Convertible since its reintroduction in 2011 and applies to years 2011 thru 2014.
The information is there is you care to sign up for it.

Excellent! Thanks to those of you who're spearheading this effort.
The FB link works fine for me from work, just as an FYI. I'm becoming a bit more concerned about my top for a few reasons... During the past couple of weeks I've had the top down quite often and when I put it back up, it's a bit more wrinkled than I'm accustomed to. I've noticed the smallest "pinch" in the C-Pillar area but no fraying or hole (yet). My the vinyl covering around the edge of my tonneau cover has started to form air pockets (bubbling) and the vinyl covering has started to slip away from it's original glued-in area. One can DEFINITELY see the dried glue - yellowish-green - but no ends are haning loose yet from the tonneau frame. I had my 'vert in for the "Top Inspection" back in late February(?) / March as well as for the dealer to inspect the tonneau. LUCKILY for me, the dealer's waiting area has a large window through which to look down on the massive service area / bays and I watched 2 techs "inspecting" my top and the tonneau... The techs did NOT affix the tonneau to the car, they just laid it on top of the retracted top to inspect it. I wanted them to check and re-check how secure it is and lobbied to have it replaced with the bungee cord tonneau. They didn't appear to have any concern regarding my tonneau and the service advisor seemed to "ho-hum" the idea of getting the newer one for me... Had I not watched them, I would've gone on my merry way assuming everything is fine. Come to witness they didn't even know HOW to put the tonneau on! I addressed it with the service rep. and went down into the service bay with him and explained and showed them how to attach the tonneau, with an emphasis on the clips being attached to the bolts correctly and that the bolts DO NOT come attached from the factory. Add to that the conflicting info about whether the convertible frame and hardware are covered under the GM Protection Plan...I really love my 'vert and have not experienced any leaks or rub marks thus far. Will GM, however, cover (or help to cover) my top when it starts leaking or the frame starts having problems. The damned car will be 3 years old at the end of July and I just turned 5k miles with her 2 weeks ago. AAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... ......... Will the class action lawsuit help to protect / cover those of us who have early build convertibles, in particular, if a top problem develops with an extended coverage plan? Man, I sure hope you guys succeed with your suit, regardless of whether it'll help me or not.

I think that is against the rules of the page. If a mod could chime in and say it is ok I will do it. If not, message me on here and I can send it to you. For the record, I am not the one who brought the suit, but have been an advocate since 2011 since my first POS was bought back by GM and the hell I went through not only with GM, but the dealership.

From what I understand it applies to all 5th gen convertibles. Whether you are still an owner or not.

I previously got a small cash settlement for my troubles ($2,000 or so) and an extended warranty for the top, windows, licks, etc (until 95,000 miles).
Will this affect those of us that got this deal from GM? |
