I paid only 18.9k for mine back in late summer 2015. Red tag special with only 7 miles on it.

That was a great deal even if it was a 2015 LS if it as an LT you did really well!

Trust me there are also many examples of when I got beat up badly buying a new car but I have learned from my mistakes. My deal was exceptional I totally agree but it was one in a million and I can say that I'm sure the dealer still found a way to turn a profit on the sale or I wouldn't be driving my vert!
Instead of taking the bashing why not just post the proof you have to have it if you bought the car. I do not want to say its not true because I have a similar story on my mazda cx-7... End of 1/4 end of month on a weekend walk into dealer not even looking to buy just to test drive.. They would not let me leave, to the point I had to threaten them to give me my other keys back but they just kept lowering the price more and more 6 hours later, they eventually marked it down from 25k MSRP to 15k MSRP they clearly needed like 1 more sale to get that big quota check from the manufacturer.. However how they did it was by giving me an stupid amount of money for my trade like 4-5k over bluebook.. they take a loss on the trade but get the big check for hitting that sales quota... These deals do happen but its hard to believe without proof I could show you guys proof but who cares about my 2010 cx-7 I don't own anymore.

So its not that I don't believe you man but you come into the enthusiast thread with a unheard of deal post some proof and you will receive high fives all day instead of doubt and disgust. If you cant prove it well then it didnt happen.

I am sure this is highly frowned upon if the manufacturer caught a dealership doing this. This is no different then meeting sales quotas by trading sales with other dealerships.. Not saying it doesnt happens but has to be a big no no. And if its not then /shrug

You collect massive quota bonus..... Dealership GM drives it for awhile, then sells as a demo for 36000... massive quota bonus + 11000 on the demo car sale...
Lol I love the 4 very decent dealers with average ethic standards...

Legalities aside... I am talking manufacturer policy. They can do whatever they want and the LAW really has nothing to do with it.. I know in most markets especially commission based you play the system internally your fired.

Not sure why they wouldnt let me leave or held my keys to my trade in hostage or why they marked my cx-7 down 40% but I spent 6 hours of my life trying to get out of there and I left with a hellluva deal. and just saying maybe the same thing happened to this guy. does not always have to make sense. Heck they let me leave with the vehicle without my wife signing or me signing anything we came back 2 days later to finalize the paperwork because the car was for her not me.... they wanted the sale that badly.
